Hi, I’m Jouni Flemming!

I wanted to spend less time looking for files. Naturally, I spent the next few years writing a file search tool.

My team and I also make other Windows software and websites. Keeping track of all those projects is another reason I need a search tool.

I developed and published jv16 PowerTools, a Windows utility suite with tools for maintenance, error fixing and cleaning.

My team and I have also developed and published Windows apps such as Uninstalr and System Examiner.

I started developing WinFindr in 2023 because I wanted to search files, folders and registry data from one simple interface. I still like and use Everything, but wanted a tool that handles these searches together. You can read more in the comparison with Everything.

I called this one WinFindr. It finds things in Windows. The missing “e” is probably in another folder.

If this kind of straightforward software makes sense to you, please consider supporting its development with WinFindr Pro.
